The strike in Sudbury is coming to an end with Vale and the USW have coming to an agreement. Now its time to spread the news that USW have left others members with out vital support. One of our union mantra is “ONE DAY LONGER” but not in the case of Local 271 in Erin Ontario. This local has been on strike since June 4 2007. On May 24 2010 the USW international suspended strike benefits yet the company has not closed and there is still no agreement on a contract.
